I had planned to tour around Laos for about 3 weeks, working my way back south from Luang Prabang, and crossing into Cambodia via the Nong Nok border crossing, near the 4000 Islands and Stung Treng. Unfortunately my dental work had other ideas, with one of my dental bridges snapping at the beginning of the Laos leg.
How does one find a high quality dentist, doing state-of-the-art modern dentistry, in Laos? Damned if I know.
So instead I took an rescheduled trip back to Singapore (I had been planning on going back to Singapore to see some friends and take care of a few things later in the autumn), and paid an emergency visit to my old dentist in Singapore.
That done, it was off to Cambodia!
