Lovina collectively refers to a few beaches to the west of Singaraja. The area is definitely more touristy than Pemuteran, with every second building given over to chasing tourism money (selling taxi services, snorkelling trips to Menjangan), as well as all the guesthouses and homestays.
TBH, although the farmland around Lovina was pretty, I didn't like the vibe of the area as much as Pemuteran, and I found the beaches to be nothing special (I tried snorkelling over quite a large area, and found nothing but sea grass and the odd sea urchin), so I ended up only spending two days in Lovina (one day exploring Lovina and the beaches, and one day visiting Singaraja).
The sunsets were nice, though....
